ST. NAZIANZ, Wis. (WBAY) -- Fire departments across Manitowoc County work together, to respond to a pair of fires overnight.
At about 12:15 Thursday morning, St. Nazianz crews got a call for a mobile home fire, in Maple Terrace Park, just north of the village's Main Street.
"The trailer is probably a total loss," says First Assistant Fire Chief Fred Reindl, St. Nazianz Volunteer Fire Department. "The fire was contained to the front half of the trailer, but the rest is smoke and heat damaged.”
The owner of the mobile home wasn’t there – but the home was completely destroyed.
"We had another fire going west of St. Nazianz at the same time, so we called in mutual aid to assist, and Valders Fire from Valders was the primary attack crew on this fire," Reindl says.
The Valders Fire Department sprung into action at the shed fire, on County Road C, just north of the village.
No one was injured in the blaze.
Right now, crews are unsure what started either of the fires, but is working to investigate the cause of both of them.
