Man wanted in abduction, fatal shooting arrested; daughter still missing

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WBAY) - Milwaukee Police say a man wanted for abducting his two-year-old daughter and killing the girl's mother has been arrested.

Dariaz Higgins was taken into custody March 13 in the 5200 block of N. 103rd Street in Milwaukee.

An Amber Alert remains active for Noelani Robinson. Police are asking anyone with information about Noelani to call 911. Our Milwaukee partner station WISN reports that police believe Noelani Robinson may be in Minnesota.

Higgins was named a suspect in the March 11 shooting death of Sierra Robinson. Sierra Robinson had been shot in the chest, cheek and wrist and died at the scene of the shooting near 91st Street and Mill Road.

Sierra Robinson's friend was also shot but survived. The friend told police that Sierra traveled from Nevada to get her daughter from Higgins. Sierra had left the girl with Higgins when she moved to Las Vegas. She came back to Milwaukee to get the girl.

Police say a second person was arrested with Higgins for harboring and aiding a fugitive.

Dariaz Higgins has been charged with 1st Degree Intentional Homicide and Recklessly Endangering Safety.
