DOOR COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) - The man missing after he went to take photos at a Door County park was identified Tuesday as 57-year-old Eric Richter from Neenah.
Richter's vehicle was found at Cave Point County Park Sunday night. The sheriff's office fears he was swept into Lake Michigan. Waves were 7 to 8 feet at the time, and the shoreline was icy and slippery.
The Door County Sheriff's Office says a search for Richter continued Tuesday but was hampered by the snowstorm, rough waters, and water clarity.
The sheriff's office says the area is still ice-covered and slippery and advises people to avoid the shoreline.
Richter hasn't been heard from since Sunday evening, when he told his wife he was returning from Jacksonport and stopping at the park to take some pictures.
