The Township of Lessor, just north of the Outagamie/Shawano County line was hit hard with a likely tornado.

The Fire Department in the Township of Lessor says 11 buildings are now deemed structurally unsafe. Officials say no injuries have been reported.

"4 p.m. today [Wednesday] we had a touchdown of a tornado in the Township of Lessor starting at Elm road and traveling to the northeast, we basically started checking homes for damage," said Fire Chief, Joe Fuss.

"Wind gusts just came and tore everything a part," said Mariah Kelliher, who lost her barn in the storm.

Pieces of roofing and garage doors line the fields in Lessor.

Kelliher isn't sure whose it is.

"I don't know what direction it came from, you know; because there's things this way, there's barns this way, ours is knocked down," said Kelliher.

The Red Cross is opening a shelter at the town hall for tornado victims, as people attempt to pick up the pieces.

"I don't know, call the insurance company and see what they tell us to do I guess," said Kelliher.
