Kimberly, West De Pere dominate in conference meets

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - For the fourth straight year the Kimberly boy’s track team placed first at the Fox Valley Association conference track meet.

Appleton North finished second and the Neenah boys finished third.

The Kimberly girl’s won the FVA conference title for the second straight year. Appleton North and Neenah finished second and third.

The meet was held at Appleton North High School on Monday.

Fond du Lac senior thrower Andrew Stone crushed the previous record by six feet set 37 years ago by Oshkosh North’s Dave Niemuth. Stone, who has the top shot put throw this year, broke his own record with a throw of 65 feet, 8.25 inches. His previous record was 65 feet.

Kimberly Sophomore Molly Greeninger ran the 100m dash in 12.23 which is a conference meet record. The top three finishers all broke the previous record of 12.54. Hortonville freshman finished in second at 12.29 and Oshkosh West senior Megan Best in third at 12.30.

The Oshkosh West girl’s 4x200 meter relay team broke a 35-year-old record. Beating the previous record held by Oshkosh North by nearly 2 seconds.

The Oshkosh West team consisted of Megan Best, Nithya Ambati, Claire Sugrue and Devin Hable. The same relay team won the 4x100 relay with a time of 49.57 and broke a conference meet record set last year.

Kaukauna senior Maggie Tienor set a conference meet record in the 200 meter dash with a time of 25.73. The previous record was set in 2016 by Appleton North’s Sydney Squier (57.86).

Fond du Lac senior Dylan Sieloff set an FVA meet record in the pole vault, beating the previous record by three inches. Sieloff vaulted 15 feet.

For the fifth straight year the West De Pere boys and girls track and field teams took home the Bay Conference meet title.

West De Pere junior Kaylee Olson won four events: 100m dash, high hump, long jump and triple jump.

West De Pere sophomore Tejay Evans won three events: 100m dash, 200m dash and 400m dash.

Phantoms senior Jermaine Evans won the 800m run, 1600m run and the 3200m run.

The West De Pere relay won were also dominant, taking first in the 4x100, 4x200, 4x400 and 4x800 relays.
