A 27-year old man has been arrested for a shooting in downtown Green Bay.

Donnavan Mitchell of Green Bay was arrested Wednesday on multiple charges related to the shooting.

At 1:07 a.m., officers were called to the 1100 block of Cherry Street for a disturbance in the street. Someone reported hearing a gunshot.

Police found a bullet hole in a home in the area. There were no reports of injuries.

Investigators intereviewed Mitchell and witnesses and collected evidence at the crime scene.

Two guns were recovered during the investigation. Police believe Mitchell fired one of the guns.

Police do not know at this time who was the target of the shooting. "At this point, we have an innocent citizen who has a bullet hole in the front of their home," police say.

Officers say they do not believe this was a random act. The people in the disturbance are described as "associates of one another."

The people involved are not cooperating with investigators.

Police are recommending Mitchell be charged with the following counts: Felon in Possession of a Firearm; 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety; Possession of Marijuana; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
