Hotel Northland back before Green Bay's City Council

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - The embattled Hotel Northland project was back on the agenda for the Green Bay City Council.

And once again, city leaders said they have a senior lender for the renovation project, but it appears that funding is still not set in stone.

The project's previous senior lender backed out of the project near the end of 2016, taking more than $12 million with them.

The search for a new lender led to a complicated ownership battle. Last month a judge ironed out who really owns the hotel in downtown Green Bay, ruling that KPH Construction is the sole owner.

KPH Construction hopes to have the hotel open to guests in the fall after announcing they had secured a new lender.

That announcement came more than a month ago, but we have yet to hear who that senior lender is.
