Heroin Dealer Guilty of Reckless Homicide

BEAVER DAM, Wis. (WBAY) - A heroin dealer has been found guilty of reckless homicide.

41 year old Jason Thompson faces up to 46 years in prison for the delivery of heroin that killed a man in 2016. The man was identified as James Hook of Reeseville. Thompson now faces $110,000.00 in fines.

Thompson arranged a trip to Madison to get heroin for the victim’s use. Text messages between the two indicated that the heroin retrieved by Thompson was used that night. Later that evening the victim was found unresponsive in his residence.

The sentencing hearing is set for May 1, 2019.
