GRESHAM, Wis. (WBAY) - Gresham has lifted a village water boil notice after test results came back showing the water to be free of contamination, according to the village operations manager.
The village has been under the water boil notice since Tuesday evening. Operations Manager Brian Carroll says crews were doing sewer work on Schabow Street when a section of the road unexpectedly collapsed in the sandy soil, breaking a water main.
People were advised to bring water to a full boil for at least 5 minutes before using it for food preparation, drinking or ice. That's no longer necessary.
The village water was tested to make sure it's free of contamination. Carroll announced on Friday that it received the all clear.
