Green Bay police investigate east side stabbing

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Green Bay police are investigating a stabbing that happened on the city's east side.

Officials said it happened around 7 p.m Friday in the 2000 block of Van Deuren Street, one block south of University and Danz Avenue.

Police said a 51-year-old suspect was taken into custody and is facing 2nd degree reckless injury charges.

A 56-year-old victim, who police said knew the suspect, was treated and released from a hospital for minor injuries.
