Green Bay man dies in three car crash in Oconto County

OCONTO COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) -- UPDATE:

Oconto County officials have identified a man who died in a weekend crash as Michael L. Slattebo of Green Bay.

Slattebo, 39, was pronounced dead at the scene on Highway 41/141 at County Highway D in the Town of Abrams.

The crash happened May 5. The Oconto County Sheriff's Office says Slattebo was traveling south on the highway when his car struck a vehicle that was stopped due to a flat tire.

Slattebo's car was then hit by another southbound vehicle.

The vehicle stopped for the flat tire did have emergency flashing lights activated, according to investigators.

The crash happened about 9:10 p.m.

A 39-year-old Green Bay man is dead after a three car crash in Oconto County on Saturday.

The Oconto County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened on US Highway 41/141 at County Highway D in the Town of Abrams at about 9:10 p.m.

Deputies say a car was parked on the side of the road with its emergency flashers on because the car had a flat tire. The occupants were waiting for assistance.

During that time, a southbound car rear ended the parked car. The vehicle that rear ended the parked car was then struck a second time by another southbound SUV.

It is unclear at this time which vehicle the, now deceased, 39-year-old man was in.

Authorities are investigating the incident and are expected to release more information about the crash.
