Green Bay Police looking for dog that bit child on east side

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Green Bay Police are attempting to locate a dog that bit a six-year-old child on the city's east side.

It happened May 14, at about 6:45 p.m. The child was playing in the 1500 block of Ellis St at the time.

"A white Pitbull dog bit the child in the ear," Green Bay Police say. "The Pitbull was accompanied by a young girl who kept walking east bound on Ellis Street."

Animal control is working to locate the dog and its owner.

"There are strict quarantine requirements for animal bites," police say. "In order to investigate the bite, we are asking for the community's help in locating the animal."
