Green Bay police partnered with Habitat for Humanity to help repair a man's home.

The man has medical conditions that have impaired his way of life, and he's been a victim of a burglary and another incident which damaged his home.

Tuesday, police and Habitat volunteers helped clean up the damage and installed new doors and locks to help prevent crime.

"Those kinds of damages can really affect people. They're costly to repair, and we wanted to help get him some help to make those repairs to make him feel safe in his home," GBPD crime prevention coordinator Melanie Skalmoski said.

The man's neighbors also pitched in and made lunch for all the volunteers.
