Demovsky says that it's "no real shock" that the Packers are releasing former first-round pick Nick Perry. "He was never able to replicate his 11-sack season in 2016," Demovsky says. Perry had a five-year, $60 million contract.

“We want to thank Nick for his contributions to the Green Bay Packers and the community over the last seven seasons,” GM Brian Gutekunst said. “He did a tremendous job on the field, was a great teammate and a true professional. We wish Nick, his wife, Audrianna, and their family all the best.”

"Draft options really opening up for Gutey [Packers GM Brian Gutekunst] after they opened up the vault for FA's," Action 2 Sports Director Chris Roth tweeted.

ESPN NFL Insider Field Yates tweeted: "Za'Darius Smith, Kenny Clark, Mike Daniels & Preston Smith. Hello, Packers pass rush."
