Mayor Schmitt has been the leader of the city for 16 years but decided not to run for re-election.

And as the council threw him a going away party, Schmitt told us he's going to take the summer off.

Mayor-elect Eric Genrich will be inaugurated, along with Brown County Executive Troy Streckenbach, who won re-election, Tuesday afternoon at 4:30.

The ceremony is on the third floor of the Brown County courthouse in room 360.
