A Green Bay K9 helped police seize $13,000 in cash and marijuana.
On May 21, police were called to the 700 block of Northern Avenue for a fight between a man and woman.
While inside the home, police smelled raw marijuana and saw personal amounts of the drug and paraphernalia.
Officers decided to split up the man and woman for the night. It was at this time that the woman turned over a bag containing 42 smaller bags of marijuana to police. She said the drugs belonged to the man in the home.
The man tried to leave in a car driven by his mother, but police stopped him.
Green Bay K9 Pyro helped in a search of the home. Pyro led police to a backpack with a half-pound of marijuana separated into ounce bags. The backpack also had a digital scale and $13,000 in cash.
Police arrested 25-year-old Seth VanDenHoven on drug charges and disorderly conduct.
“This is the third incident in the last few weeks where our K9’s have been instrumental in keeping Green Bay safe and free of drugs in our community” said Chief Andrew Smith.
