On Friday, May 17, admission to the Green Bay Botanical Garden is free for all.

Education Manager Linda Gustke says studies have shown that being in a garden can help bring down stress levels within five minutes.

Gustke says the Botanical Garden is a family-friendly destination.

"The children's garden is really great for the kids, as it sounds. We've got a fantastic maze that they get to wander through, that brings them up to the tree house where they really get to see all of the garden, and just feel like their floating above everything," Gustke says. "Then they get to slide down the slide, which of course is their favorite."

The garden also offers tours and a scavenger hunt.

It's located at 2600 Larsen Rd.
