GRAND CHUTE, Wis. (WBAY) - A 33-year-old Grand Chute woman made child pornography with her children and shared the pictures and videos with others online, according to a criminal complaint obtained by Action 2 News.
Action 2 News is not releasing the woman's name to protect the identity of the young victims.
The woman is charged with eight counts, including Incest and 1st Degree Sexual Assault of a Child Under 12 and Child Exploitation.
On May 14, the Wisconsin Department of Justice - Division of Criminal Investigation contacted Appleton Police about numerous tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Google alerted the organization that the suspect had images and videos of child pornography on a Google account listed to her.
Police identified the suspect and went to her home in Grand Chute. Officers were able to identify her as the woman who appeared in some of the videos and pictures with the small children.
A school resource officer was able to identify two children in the child pornography as students at a local elementary school. One child is six-years-old and the other is seven-years-old.
On May 15, officers executed a search warrant of the suspect's the home and the children were taken to a safe location.
Police interviewed the mother. The criminal complaint said she admitted to taking sexually explicit photos and videos of her children and having sexual contact with them "on numerous occasions." She also said she shared these photos and videos to "at least 4-5 different individuals online."
One of the officers who responded to the home said he had been at the home previously for a child welfare check.
The woman is being held on a $100,000 cash bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 25.
