GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Frontier Airlines will offer non-stop flights from Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport to Denver.
The low-cost airline will begin offering the flights on May 23, 2019.
The flights will be three-days a week: Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.
Airport Director, Marty Piette says Denver is GRB's seventh most popular origin destination city.
"Frontier Airlines definitely caters to the leisure traveler. As we heard today, about 90 percent of their traffic leisure, but they also accommodate our business travelers and because of the low fairs it just gives more opportunity for our community not to have to drive to another airport for that low cost service," said Piette.
The flights will depart from Denver at 2:11 p.m. and arrive in Green Bay at 5:29 p.m. Flights will depart Green Bay at 6:19 p.m. and arrive in Denver at 7:52 p.m.
Ticket prices range between $54 and $149.
The airport saw a 12.2 percent increase in travelers in 2018 and with the addition of this flight, Piette hopes to see that number keep growing.
