FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WBAY) - Flight For Life is combining two of its air bases. The medical transport company says it will consolidate the Fond du Lac base and Waukesha base into one.
Those operations will be run out of a new facility between the two cities, location to be announced. Flight For Life will keep its other base in McHenry, Illinois.
Flight For Life says no jobs will be lost to the consolidation.
"This realignment will help Flight For Life better serve communities' medical transport needs and will not cause any decrease in Flight For Life's service area coverage nor will any staff or crew member positions be eliminated," reads a statement from Flight For Life.
The company insists that both Fond du Lac and Waukesha areas will continue to have timely access to air transport.
Flight for Life announced Friday it would add a third Mobile Intensive Care ground ambulance. The company states that there is increased demand for life support and critical care services on the ground. The location of the third Mobile Intensive Care ambulance has yet to be announced. Flight For Life currently runs the ambulances in Waukesha and the Kenosha/Racine area.
