Green Bay Packers fans are emotional after their Super Bowl dreams were cut short by a very good San Francisco 49ers team in the NFC Championship.

The 49ers punched their ticket to Super Bowl LIV with a 37-20 win over the Packers.

Action 2 News checked in with fans who packed into Stadium View in Ashwaubenon to watch the game. Some had left before the end of the 4th Quarter.

The fans were disappointed, but they knew the Packers faced an uphill battle against the 49ers.

"San Francisco is really good, and they showed that in the first game they played Green Bay," said Packers fan Dennis Gerard.

"Defense needs to stop them. San Francisco is so quick. They're like 'whoa, we're going down the field' and that's it," said Packers fan Mary Kay Charbonneau.

"They're fast and furious and spot on. It's a really hard game to stop. I think they've been doing well but when they're that precise, it's very hard," said Packers fan Heidi Henrich.

The 49ers will face the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIV in Miami.

INITIAL REPORT

There's a different mood ahead of the NFC Championship game.

Last week, many Packers fans felt confident the team would defeat the Seahawks.

This week, many fans still believe the green and gold can do it again, they also admit the Packers will have to give it their all to beat the 49ers.

"I think it's going to be a close game, I think it's going to be a defensive game. I think the Packers actually have a pretty good shot. I know they got whooped up on last time, but, I think it's going to be a close game. I think Packers by 7," says Packers fan Anders Goderstad.

"You know I have a really good feeling about this. It's going to be tough, it's not going to be easy but I have to believe. I've been carrying around a believe sign for 23 years. So this time, we're going to get it right," says fellow fan Mary Kay Charbonneau.

Fans hope that belief from everyone will help push the Packers to a win.
