Eight charged in Shawano drug conspiracy

Shawano County deputies have arrested a fugitive charged in a large-scale drug operation.

On April 25, Kyle A. Collins, 30, was arrested at a home in Pulcifer, according to the Shawano County Sheriff's Office.

Eight people have been charged in a conspiracy to deal heroin, meth, crack and other drugs in Shawano.

The Wisconsin Department of Justice identified the suspects as:

Desiree A. Webster, 21

Georgia "Mama G" Johnson, 56

Christine A. Hensel, 30

Conjetta L. Lazzaro, 27

Andrea L. Hokenstad, 41

Craig A. Johnston, 43

Kyle A. Collins, 30 (not in custody)

Jaral "Sport" McCollum, 39

Prosecutors have filed 53 charges related to the alleged conspiracy to sell drugs between January 2018 and June 2018.

The defendants are accused of selling cocaine, crack cocaine, meth, heroin and other drugs.

A criminal complaint states that Georgia "Mama G" Johnson allowed drug activity at her home at 218 Center Street in exchange for drugs and payment of bills.

That residence is located within 1,000 feet of two Shawano elementary schools.

Investigators seized multiple cell phones belonging to Jaral McCollum and found messages that were "clearly indicative of drug sales and distribution," reads the complaint.

Action 2 News reported on Jaral McCollum and Desiree Webster after their June 25 arrest in Shawano. More than 80 grams of drugs were found inside Webster's body, according to police.

Webster was taken to a Shawano hospital for a CT scan of her pelvic area. The scan showed something resembling a plastic bag, described as being the size of a fist. CLICK HERE for that story.
