Give Big Green Bay starts at noon Tuesday (Feb. 18) and goes through noon Wednesday (Feb. 19). The community-wide fundraising event is hosted by The Green Bay Packers Foundation and the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation.

The goal is to rally around 40 nonprofits in the Green Bay area. CLICK HERE to view the list of nonprofits.

Action 2 News is told 60 percent of the participating non-profits have never participated before, including Junior Achievement, which teaches school-age children about financial literacy, career readiness and entrepreneurship. The money raised will help the program expand.

"We have a waiting list of 60 classes so this will help us expand what we are doing in local schools," said Adam Sutter, Junior Achievement area director. "Teachers reach out to us and request us to come in with volunteers and teach our curriculum, which is 4-5 weeks in length ... so this helps provide all materials to go into additional classrooms."

The Packers Foundation, along with other donating partners, will match $362,500 in donations.

"It's really helpful for us. People give annually to us, but this allows it to go a bit further so everyone likes a match," said Sutter.

Online donations end at noon on Wednesday, February 19.
