Downed trees and power lines across Green Bay area

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) -- The Green Bay area was also hit hard by downed trees and power lines; keeping crews busy all evening, including in De Pere.

"Lights down in a number of different places. Power outages all over the place. A lot of branches and everything hanging on the road," said Steve Dantoin, Brown County highway superintendent.

At the Austin Straubel Airport, the roof peeled off the executive air hangar and flung onto nearby vehicles.

Strong winds blew pieces of insulation across the parking lot, some even stuck inside the airport fences.

On Green Bay's West side, a giant oak tree fell on top of a resident's home cracking through the roof, creating a hole in the ceiling.

The Green Bay metro fire department responded to the crash where they estimated damage between $75-$100,000.

Across the entire area, downed stop lights held up traffic in rush hour.

Officials say all downed poles likely won't be up and running again until this weekend.

No injures were reported across the entire area.
