GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Marc Hoppe, 40, of De Pere may face the rest of his life in prison if convicted of sexual assault charges involving two young girls.

Hoppe is charged with two counts of repeated sexual assault of a child and two counts of second-degree sexual assault of a child under 16.

A Green Bay police detective first met with the girls and their parents in late January,

One girl, who's now 15, said the sexual abuse started when she was in third or fourth grade. She said even at that age, she did what Hoppe wanted because she was afraid he would do it to her younger sister instead.

The sister, who's 11, told investigators when she was in fourth grade, Hoppe began giving her hugs and massages, which eventually led to more. She said the last assault happened around Christmas.

The 15-year-old said she told friends at school, which led to school gossip, but no one ever helped her.

The 11-year-old told her father last month, and police were contacted.
