BROWN COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) - Brown County court has ordered a competency exam for the Brown County woman arrested and charged in a child neglect and animal hoarding case.

Lisa Kraszewski, 36, was arrested in February after officers found what they described as "deplorable conditions" in her Town of Eaton home.

Investigators say they found 31 dogs in her basement and dead farm animals on the property.

She's charged with 10 counts of negligence in providing improper animal shelter and sanitation standards, seven counts of intentional mistreatment of animals, and two counts of neglecting a child not resulting in harm.

The child neglect charges stem from Kraszewski's daughters missing a lot of school.
