Crews broke ground Friday on the baseball stadium being built in Ashwaubenon.

The Green Bay Bullfrogs are moving to Ashwaubenon next season. They'll play in the new ballpark being built next to the village hall on Holmgren Way.

Capital Credit Union Park can hold 3,300 for games and more for concerts and other events. It will have six private suites and a private club area.

"It's an artificial playing surface, which means we'll very easily be able to switch from event to event. You're playing baseball one day, and the next day we can play a soccer game, a day after that we can play a concert, and be able to do that kind of thing really fluidly, really seamlessly," Vern Stenman, president of Big Top Baseball, said.

The stadium should be finished by May, in time for the Northwoods League season.

The Bullfrogs will also have a new name by next season. Seven choices were

: the Green Bay Booyah, Cheese Curds, Supper Clubbers, Tailgaters, Old-Fashioneds, Under Dogs and Wurst.
