Brown County takes back 1,885 pounds of drugs

BELLEVUE, Wis. (WBAY) - Brown County authorities announced another successful drug take-back event. They collected 1,885 pounds of unused prescription drugs over the weekend.

The fall collection total is less than the 2,151 pounds of pills collected during the spring take-back event.

Both events bring the total collection for the year to a little more than 4,000 of unused medication in Brown County, keeping drugs from getting into the wrong hands or being flushed into our waterways.

The Brown County Sheriff's Office says events in Kewaunee and Door counties collected an additional 341.8 pounds.
