MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WBAY) - Free-agent third baseman Mike Moustakas is headed back to the Milwaukee Brewers according to multiple sources. Reports say Moustakas’ deal is for one-year, $10 million with a mutual option on a second year.
The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal was first to report the re-signing.
Moustakas batted .251 with 28 home runs and 95 RBI in 152 games in 2018 with both the Kansas City Royal and the Brewers. Moustakas was acquired in late July and hit .256 with eight homers and 33 RBIs.
The Brewers start full squad workouts in Maryvale, AZ. for Spring Training on Tuesday, Feb. 19. The team’s first Spring Training game is Saturday, Feb. 23 at 2:05 pm CT against the Chicago Cubs. The first game will only be broadcast on the radio.
