Service League of Green Bay is hosting the 26th annual Back to School Store this Wednesday, August 8th, on the UWGB campus.
It runs from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
It's the first year of the partnership between Service League and UWGB.
Service League says holding the event at the university will give kids an experience of being on a college campus as they prepare for their own school year.
The store provides new clothing, sneakers, socks, underwear and school supplies to elementary-age children living in poverty in Brown County.
Children are invited to “shop” for an outfit for school and pick up a new backpack filled with required school supplies. Vision and dental screenings are also available.
