Appleton Police making progress in shooting linked to motorcycle clubs

APPLETON, Wis. (WBAY) - Appleton Police say they've made significant progress in the investigation into a shooting linked to rival motorcycle clubs.

The department has been working with local, state and federal agencies and they've been making progress on identifying the people involved.

The shooting happened Aug. 18 at the intersection of W. Prospect Ave and S. Memorial Drive.

In broad daylight, a man on a motorcycle pulled up beside a truck and fired multiple shots at the vehicle as it turned onto S. Memorial Drive.

The department says it is still trying to identify the man who fired the shots.

"Lack of cooperation from those immediately involved in the incident and those associated to the dispute between rival motorcycle clubs has hindered the investigative process," police say.
