4th annual KittyPalooza features Elvis Purrsley; Red Hot Kitty Peppers

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) -- The Bay Area Humane Society was hoping to find new homes for as many cats as possible at Saturday's 4th annual KittyPalooza.

Organizers say this is one of the society's biggest cat promotions.

This year's event had a Rock Star theme with appearances from adoptable cats including Elvis Purrsley, Cat-Allica, and the Red Hot Kitty Peppers.

Organizers say summer is the perfect time to adopt a cat.

"Cats reproduce quite a bit in the summer time. This is the time they're out and about, and we see lots of moms coming in, litters of kittens sometimes with or without mom; and a lot of them aren't fixed. So it's a big problem this time of year. This is when they're most active. So, we're always trying to promote and educate spay-neuter," said Olivia Webster, Director of Operations.

On Sunday, cats will also be up for adoption at Pet Supplies Plus Adoption Center in Ashwaubenon.
