WAUPACA COUNTY, Wis (WBAY) -- A 15-year-old boy who died after being shot with a .22 caliber firearm in Waupaca County is now identified as Jacob Peglow from rural Waupaca.
Authorities say the boy was shot in the shoulder around 12:50 p.m. Wednesday at an address on Rieben Road.
The sheriff's office says advanced life saving measures were provided by people at the scene, and first responders also continued advanced life saving measures when they arrived.
The teenager died at the scene.
The Waupaca County Sheriff's Office says the shooting is under investigation but believes it was an accident. It's providing no other details about the shooting at this time.
