Mackenzie Amundsen

Multimedia Journalist

Mackenzie joined WBAY in October 2018 as a multimedia journalist. She previously worked for two years as a multimedia journalist at the ABC affiliate in La Crosse, WXOW TV-19.

A Wisconsin girl born and raised, she is originally from Amery, Wis., a small town in the northwestern part of the state.

Mackenzie is a proud Blugold alum, graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a Bachelor of Arts degree in mass communications with an emphasis in public relations. During her time in college, she worked as a multimedia journalist, producer and anchor for the weekly campus news segment, Blugold News Now on TV-10. She also interned at WEAU 13 News in Eau Claire and WMTV NBC 15 in Madison.

Mackenzie loves to watch Wisconsin football. Her goal is to make it to one Green Bay Packers and one Wisconsin Badgers game every season. When she’s not at work, Mackenzie spends her free time finding the best chai tea lattes in the area and playing with her two kittens. Mackenzie has traveled to over 11 countries across Europe and Africa and loves to meet new people and experience new cultures.

Mackenzie is excited to call Green Bay home and be a part of the WBAY team.
