Hannah Borchert joined NewsChannel 7 as a multimedia journalist in July of 2021. She also anchors NewsChannel 7 Weekend.
She majored in communication and journalism, advertising, and media studies at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She also earned a certificate in peace studies and conflict resolution.
Throughout college, Hannah enjoyed coordinating and participating in volunteering activities through the UW-Milwaukee National Residence Hall Honorary. And she sang in various choirs, her favorite being Forte Femmes A Capella Choir.
In her free time, Hannah enjoys listening to podcasts and going to coffee shops. While Hannah grew up in the Appleton area, she looks forward to calling Wausau her new home!

The 31-year-old woman convicted of physically abusing a child she was baby sitting and causing the death of another child in her care months later will spend 43 years in prison. Marissa Tietsort was also sentenced to 23 years of extended supervision.
