SILVER ALERT: 78-year-old man missing from Marquette County
MARQUETTE, Wis. (WMTV) - A Marquette County man who’s been missing for more than two days was spotted recently in Mayville, police said Thursday night.
A statewide Silver Alert was issued for 78-year-old Dale Myers.
The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office says Myers was last seen at a home in Oxford on Tuesday, June 8, at 5 p.m. He appears to have left the Elk Avenue residence with his 12-year-old black English Lab.
Myers drives a light gray, 2019 Honda Ridgeline, with a Wisconsin license plate number of GY3385. However, authorities say his daughter says the plate might be numbered 300LKJ. They say the plate holder says “David Hobbs Honda.”
Police describe Myers as 5′6″, weighing 150lbs, with blonde/gray short hair and blue eyes. He is believed to be wearing black pants, a blue polo shirt, and a camouflage-colored baseball hat. He also uses a cane to walk.
Myers’s family tells police he likes to frequent fast food restaurants such as Arby’s in Westfield, and Culver’s in Portage and Wisconsin Dells.
Police say he has family in the Milwaukee and Grand Marsh areas.
Authorities said he recently got lost while driving in the Wisconsin Dells area.
If you have any information on his whereabouts, you’re encouraged to contact the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office at 608-297-2115.
