GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - The Green Bay Packers have a new linebacker.

The team announced Wednesday that they had signed De’Vondre Campbell.

Campbell was at minicamp Wednesday. He’ll wear No. 59 for the Packers.

Campbell is a 6-foot-4, 232-pound linebacker. He’s played 4,202 defensive snaps in his regular season career.

The University of Minnesota alum was selected by the Atlanta Falcons in the 2016 NFL Draft. He played his first four seasons with Atlanta. He played there while Packers Head Coach Matt Lafleur was Atlanta’s quarterback coach.

Campbell played his fifth season with the Arizona Cardinals. He started all 16 games and registered 99 tackles, 69 solo tackles, two sacks and seven tackles for a loss.

Campbell has started 70 of 75 career games. He has a career 462 tackles, with 303 of them being solo tackles. Campbell has a career 25 tackles for a loss. He’s registered 7.5 sacks.

Campbell has started all of his postseason games. He has 19 playoff tackles.

The Packers released RB Mike Weber to make room for Campbell.
