Forty-five nonprofit organizations will benefit from the fundraiser. Many of these organizations are facing hardship this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“One of the main issues is the cost of lumber. As the cost of lumber rises as the cost of any of our building material goes up it makes it more expensive for us to build a home. Right now on average it costs $140,000 a year to build a home. Those are all up front costs we pay,” says Matt Harper, Director of Development, Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity.
Give BIG Green Bay is hosted by the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation and the Green Bay Packers. The Green Bay Packers Foundation is providing a grant of $250,000 to help those donations go further.
The minimum donation is $10.
