Two men shot in Appleton, police ask for public’s help in investigation

APPLETON, Wis. (WBAY) - Police say two men were injured in a shooting during the overnight hours Sunday in Appleton.

According to Appleton Police, officers were called to the Brau Haus, located on the 500 block of West College Avenue, around 1 a.m. Sunday for a report of shots fired.

When they arrived, police say they found two victims, identified as a 24-year-old Milwaukee man and a 39-year-old Menasha man.

Officials say the men were both treated for gunshot wounds at a local hospital and were later released.

No other victims were found at the scene.

Investigators say they believe the incident was isolated, adding there’s no threat to the community.

Police are still investigating the incident, and ask that anyone who has information about the shooting call them at 920-832-5500.
