WINNEBAGO COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) - An Oshkosh man was arrested on suspicion of his fourth driving while intoxicated charge during a New Year’s traffic stop.

The Wisconsin State Patrol says Scott R. Clausen, 45, was arrested after his Jeep was found “parked in traffic” on Green Valley Road near Woodenshoe Road.

This was in the early morning hours of New Year’s Day.

“Upon contact with the driver, the trooper recognized several signs of impairment,” reads a statement from the State Patrol. “Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were attempted, with the driver only being able to complete one.”

Clausen was taken into custody for Operating While Intoxicated - 4th Offense. He was under a .02 Blood Alcohol Content restriction due to previous OWI convictions. The legal limit to drive in Wisconsin is .08.

Court records show Clausen was found guilty of his third OWI in 2017.
