Toddler pulled from Oconto River dies
The boy passed away at a local hospital

OCONTO COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) - A two-year-old boy died after being pulled from the Oconto River, according to the Sheriff's Office.
On June 27, at 7:34 p.m., emergency crews were called to a report of a missing two-year-old child in a wooded area near the river in the Town of Stiles.
Rescue crews responded to the scene and searched for the boy.
At about 8:30 p.m., the child was located unconscious in the river. Rescue crews started life-saving measures. The boy was taken to a hospital where he died.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the family as they deal with the loss of a loved one," reads a statement from Sheriff Todd Skarban.
The child’s name was not released.
The incident remains under investigation.
