Woman Sought in Homicide May Have Ties to Oshkosh

Dodge County -

Police say a woman sought by authorities in connection to a homicide in Dodge County may have ties to Oshkosh.

Oshkosh police say the victim, 43-year-old Michael J. Soeller, met the woman online and was set to pick her up in Oshkosh on Sunday, August 17. Investigators learned that the woman was 37-years-old and had four children.

Dodge County investigators say Soeller was found dead August 24 at his apartment on State Highway 73 in the Town of Fox Lake.

An autopsy determined he died from "loss of blood due to injuries inflicted by an assailant."  The Dodge County Medical Examiner ruled the death a homicide.  Investigators believe it happened sometime between August 18 and August 24.

Investigators do not believe it was a random act of violence.

The Dodge County Sheriff's Office identified the person of interest, and released a still photo from surveillance video. A neighbor was able to help an artist develop a sketch of the person of interest.
