2 Your Health: Benefits of Sunshine in the Workplace; Ramen Noodle Health Risks


Sunshine in the workplace is essential to good health, according to a study in the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine.

Researchers looked at 49 people--27 of them in windowless offices, and 22 people who worked near windows.

They found the workers close to a window exercised more and slept, on average, 46 minutes more a night than those who worked without windows.

Researchers also say exposure to daylight can help increase productivity.

New research shows eating ramen noodles can increase the risk for severe cardiovascular disease and stroke, especially in women.

Ramen has already been linked to heart attacks and diabetes, but now researchers say it ups the risk of something called cardiometabolic syndrome.

Your risk goes up if you eat ramen twice a week or more.

Scientists say the cause may be the fact that most instant noodle meals are packaged in styrofoam, which contains bisphenol A(BPA), a chemical that's been linked to certain health problems.
