Packers Pro Shop Reopens at Lambeau Field

Green Bay - The new Packers Pro Shop is open at Lambeau Field.

It's now double the size of the old one.

The upgrade was part of a $166-million renovation project.

Fans lined up this morning waiting to get inside of the new Packers Pro Shop.

After a ribbon cutting ceremony, they got their first look.

"All the like lights and everything. It's really urban looking. I really like it. It's really cool," said Rachel Hill, a Packers fan from Green Bay.

"It's laid out really well, organized and everything, so you can find whatever you need. It's perfect," added Mark Kuehn of Howard.

The new shop is 21,000 square feet.

It's all one level where the hall of fame used to be, so customers have more room and better access.

"Especially on game day. On game day and game day weekends really you would come in and see the lines are so long. People would look at it and say I'll go somewhere else," explained President and CEO Mark Murphy.

When you walk in the doors here at the new Packers Pro Shop, you're greeted by a new,  six foot by six foot Packers helmet suspended from the ceiling.

It's one of the many new features in the store, that's overall designed to enhance the fan experience even more.

"I think it's really going to be a destination. This is the kind of store people are going to want to come to. Hopefully it kind of ties in with all the other attractions that we have here with the tours, the restaurant," said Murphy.

555 international, a company from Chicago, designed the new store.

The president says a lot of thought went into every detail.

"Nothing was thrown together. Everything was purpose built, purposely designed and purposely placed," explained James Geier, president of 555 International.

The Packers will continue the celebration all weekend long with special activities and promotions.
