2 Repeat Drunk Drivers Arrested in Dodge County

Dodge County -

The Dodge County Sheriff's Office says separate incidents this week landed repeat drunk drivers behind bars.

On Tuesday, July 15, multiple departments responded to a one vehicle crash on Washington Road in the Town of Ashippun.  Investigators say the vehicle was heading west when it went into the ditch and rolled over.  The driver, 44-year-old Deric Drongeson, was extricated from the vehicle and taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The Sheriff's Office says Drongeson was arrested for 5th offense Operating While Intoxicated following the crash.

On Wednesday, a Dodge County Sheriff's Office deputy clocked a Ferrari traveling 122 mph on CTH O in the Town of Ashippun.  The vehicle was stopped and 28-year-old Joel Yochum of rural Ashippun was arrested for 4th offense OWI, according to the Sheriff's Office.

In a news release, Sheriff Patricia Ninmann said, “These incidents are very concerning. Both could have ended tragically in serious crashes, putting the lives of other drivers at great risk.”
