Decision Expected Tonight on Green Bay Walmart Proposal

Updated:

A decision is expected tonight on the future of Walmart's proposal for a store in downtown Green Bay.

The Green Bay City Council is expected to vote on a request that could pave the way for the retail giant to build a supercenter on the Larsen Green site.

Currently, no retailer can build a store larger than 70,000 square feet in that district.  Walmart wants to build a store more than twice that size.

Action was delayed last month out of respect for a council member who was ill and could not participate in the vote.

Action 2 News will have updates on this story as they become available.
