Bucks lose narrowly to Cavs 70-68 in Summer League opener

Updated:
The Milwaukee Bucks tangled with LeBron James's Cleveland Cavaliers in their summer league opener in Las Vegas.

Friday's game was billed as a showdown between this year's top 2 draft picks: The Cavs' #1 Andrew Wiggins and the Bucks' #2 Jabari Parker.

But don't forget about last year's #1 overall pick, Anthony Bennett. He played at UNLV, and that's what you get for waking up in Vegas. He went coast-to-coast against the Cavs.

Parker had a big first half and a quiet second half, scoring 17 points in 29 minutes. He should provide some of the scoring Milwaukee needs coming off a 15-win season.

Wiggins brought the Cavaliers within one point of the Bucks late in the first half.

Just before the half, while he was still making some noise, Parker showed he can distribute. A great dunk for Jujuan Johnson put Milwaukee up by 2 at the break.

But down by 2 with under 5 seconds to play, Nate Wolters needed to miss the free throw. On the rebound, would the Bucks make the 3? No.

The Bucks lose a narrow game to the Cavs, 70-68.

Up next, they have a date with Alec Brown and the Suns on Sunday.
