Oshkosh police looking for man who dumped puppy

Posted: Updated:

OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) - Oshkosh police are asking for the public's help in finding the man who dumped a puppy at a truck stop.

An employee at Planeview Truck Stop found the puppy behind a trash bin Thursday morning. Police say the dog was in a black plastic gift bag.

Employees viewed video and saw a man walking behind the bin with a dark object. When the man walked back toward the gas station, he was empty handed.

Police say the puppy has a broken pelvis and will need surgery. The dog is being treated at a veterinary hospital.

Anyone with information about the man is asked to call the Oshkosh Police Department.
