Updated with name of victim of County EE crash.

The Waushara County Sheriff's Office is investigating two fatal crashes that happened within a 24-hour period.

On Wednesday July 9, deputies responded to a report of a crash involving a van and a semi at State Road 22 and County Road P in the Town of Rose.

The Sheriff's Office says the driver of the van was later pronounced dead at a Wild Rose hospital. He was identified Thursday as 74-year-old Michael Wess, from West Allis.

The semi overturned. The truck driver, a 52-year-old Peshtigo man, was taken to a hospital. Authorities say the injuries weren't life-threatening.

On Thursday, July 10, deputies received a call at 2:26 A.M. of a crash on County Road EE near the intersection of Cumberland Road in Redgranite. Investigators say the car hit a guardrail and a bridge abutment, and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved.

That driver was identified Friday as 32-year-old Ronald Kutzleb II. He was from rural Neshkoro.

Both crashes are still under investigation.
