Looking to try something new? Action 2 News This Morning anchor Tammy Elliott enjoys yoga. 

She found some good advice from the Mayo Clinic for people who want to take it up, but feel intimated:

"I remember my first yoga class. I had no clue what a warrior pose was. Like a lot of people, I was a bit intimidated. I grabbed a friend and we tackled it together.

First, you want to find an instructor and class that fits your style.

There are different types of yoga, a more flowing, slower style that focuses on stretching, or there's power yoga which is more active.

And hot yoga, where it can be 85 to 90 degrees in the studio, to help loosen tight muscles. You have to decide what you're looking for.

Benefits of yoga: It will give you better balance, better flexibility, better core strength.  It also provides stress relief and focus that can last long after you leave your mat."
